Introducing the newest Bad Boy Fighter: Ryan Spangler
Ryan is 8 years old, an honor student, Cub Scout, football player and a Grappling Champion! Ryan began training No-Gi Grappling 18 months ago and has already won 15 medals at local competitions, Grappler’s Quest, and NAGA (North American Grappling Association).
Ryan also competed at the 2009 NAGA World Grappling Championships in Las Vegas, where he won First Place Swords for both the Intermediate and Advanced divisions of the Bantamweight cagegory.
After beating a Silver Star sponsored fighter and scaring off a Tapout sponsored fighter (apparently, Ryan beat an opponent who had already beaten the Tapout kid, and the corner backed out of the bout), Ryan decided to seek sponsorship himself. His decision was quick, as he’s a big fan of Shogun, Roger Huerta and Diego Sanchez, so he came right to Bad Boy.
Ryan now plans to train Gi Jiu Jitsu to compete in the traditional Jiu Jitsu Championships.
Welcome to the team Ryan!
